Yes, we do offer reduced rates for non-angling guests. Due to our remote location we are limited in the activities that we can offer non-angling guests.

We require a 50% deposit within 14 days of booking to secure your reservation. The final balance is due on or before 90 days prior to your scheduled trip. All payments are considered non-refundable unless an acceptable fully paid replacement is found to fill the exact dates of the canceled trip.

Although we do not require travel insurance, we highly suggest securing a policy to protect your travel investment. All payments are considered non-refundable and we do not offer credits toward a future trip should you need to cancel for any reason.

Our season runs during the peak of the sea trout run, from early February through early April. 

Given the intimacy and limited availability of our program we prefer to receive intact groups of four (4) guests each week. However, our standard program is based on single occupancy rooms and shared guide so it is possible for us to accommodate single anglers when space is available.

Our team will be happy to assist you in making your travel arrangements to San Jose Lodge. In fact, we can help you plan an assortment of trip add-on’s to round out your visit to Argentina including wine tours in Mendoza, glacier tour and trekking in El Calafate, city tours in Buenos Aires or visits to Iguazu falls.

Although we do have some loaner equipment available, guests should arrive fully prepared with their own rods, reels, leaders, flies, waders and boots. If you need to borrow equipment, please let us know in advance.

There is no cell phone service at the lodge but there is slow yet reliable internet service.

Yes, you need a fishing license and permit to fish the Rio Grande. The cost of the fishing license will be added to your final balance and needs to be paid in advance.
